I've been running everyday for 200 days

And I am still having the best time. I love my daily runs. A few things I’ve noticed:

  • my endurance is much better. I can run longer at a lower heart rate.

  • my mind can roam freely and unwind, I am no longer hyper focused on the actual run.

  • humans (some) can run every day without knee pain if you have well-fitted shoes. I am one of them. No knee pain or any other form of pain. Fingers crossed.

  • you can run every day if you pace yourself and give yourself “rest runs.” My rest runs is a 5 to 10 minute run. I do this about once a week.

  • running daily has stabilized my moods. My mood is very even.

  • running a little every day is powerful. On average, I run between 20-30 minutes most days. This small amount reaps huge returns on my sense of well-being.

On another note, I am so proud of myself for running at 4 am in a parking lot the day of an outpatient surgery and doing 5 min run shuffles for a few days after the surgery. This surgery could’ve derailed the run streak but I kept going.
