Fall weekend in NYC

This trip was such a cozy fall weekend in NYC. It rained the entire weekend and we didn’t care. The main goal of the trip was to explore the Manhattan Vintage Show and enjoy a fall getaway. The vintage show is a well organized large pop up that happens three times a year in NYC. The pieces are curated and priced reasonably. I walked away with three pieces that will be staples in my closet for years to come.

A pair of earrings, 90’s Gucci purse, and Issey Miyake textured jacket.

We also stopped by one of my favorite brands that I discovered this year, Tibi. It’s a woman-owed small business. It’s a brand that gets you excited about shopping all while restraining you from going overboard. They prioritize quality materials, thoughtfully made designs and a focus on small batches.

Hours were spent in McNally Jackson Bookstore in Soho because are you really a bookworm if you don’t get a cup of tea and get lost in a bookstore in the city on a gloomy day?

Of course we also stopped at my favorite spot, Spicy Moon in Chelsea for dinner. The vegan Dan Dan noodles did not disappoint. However, Pop up Bagels had our mouth watering with their amazing bagels. I don’t think I’ve ever drooled over a bagel like this. It’s now on my must stop by list.

I enjoyed the African Fashion exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. The exhibit didn’t wow but it did give African designers their flowers.

Found some movement at New York Pilates. It’s a gorgeous studio with global instructors. This trip reminded me that New York City in the fall should always be a thing.
